What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is simply an altered state of mind very similar to the state of relaxation during which your unconscious mind is better prepared for positive changes.

You may think Hypnotherapy is taking full control of your mind to make you do unconsidered things. That is absolutely not what we are doing. While you may have seen people apparently losing their conscious awareness during "stage-hypnotism", in Hypnotherapy you are always totally in control and  aware of what is going on during the session. Your Hypnotherapist is merely here to guide to assist you to make the changes that you wish for. Our code of conduct is approved by the British Institute of Hypnotherapy.

When you are under hypnosis you are actually in the same relaxed and focused state as you are in when you are driving, watching TV, reading or day dreaming... we are simply helping you to choose what state is the most appropriate for the situations you are trying to improve.

What will Hypnotherapy help me with?

Hypnotherapy has proven very effective in weight loss management, stopping smoking, stress control and helping relieve anxiety. It can also be very helpful in overcoming the fear of a visit to the dentist.
